Snap Survey Data Policy

1. Purpose of This Policy

This policy explains how personal data is collected, used and protected when completing surveys hosted via Snap Surveys and linked from the Homes for Bradford website. 

 

2. Who Is Conducting the Surveys?

The surveys are administered by Homes for Bradford in partnership with City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council and relevant stakeholders.

​

Snap Surveys acts as a Data Processor providing secure survey hosting. 

 

3. What Data We Collect in Surveys

Depending on the survey, we may collect: 

​

  • Contact details (optional) 

  • Organisation or stakeholder information 

  • Views and feedback about housing, development or local services 

  • Demographic data (optional) such as age, ethnicity or disability 

  • IP address and technical information collected by Snap Surveys

Sensitive demographic questions are always optional. 

 

4. Why We Collect This Data

Survey data is used to:

  • Inform housing strategy and service planning 

  • Assess needs and outcomes across the Bradford District 

  • Improve housing provision, engagement and communication 

  • Produce anonymised reports for decision-making or funding bids

 

Personal identifiers (e.g., name, contact details) are only used for the purpose stated in the survey (e.g., prize draw, follow-up contact if consent was given). 

 

5. Lawful Basis for Processing

The lawful bases we rely on include:

  • Public task (supporting planning and community engagement) 

  • Legitimate interests (improving services) 

 

6. Anonymity & Confidentiality

  • We will never publish individual responses. 

 

7. Who Your Data Is Shared With

  • Homes for Bradford partners

Data is not shared with commercial third parties. 

 

8. How Long Survey Data Is Retained

  • Survey data: up to 3 years, anonymised earlier wherever possible 

  • Contact details supplied for follow-up: up to 12 months 

  • Anonymised statistical outputs may be kept indefinitely 

 

9. Security & Storage

Data is stored using: 

​

  • Snap Surveys’ encrypted, UK/EU-based servers 

  • Secure portals and restricted access 

  • Compliance with UK GDPR and ISO-certified systems where applicable 

 

10. Your Rights

You can request:

  • Access to your data 

  • Correction of inaccurate information 

  • Deletion of your data (where applicable)
